What you are dropping into

You play a goblin. The loop is a bucket ride down, a scramble for food and valuables, then a return trip to feed the King-Queen. The public launch notes add a sixth player, crossplay, two new areas, magic books, a journal, character customization, and 42 achievements.

Early Access started on 17 December 2024. I treat that date as the start of the paid preview, and 3 November 2026 as the 1.0 release. The same day the game joined Xbox Game Pass.

Numbers I am willing to print

On 6 November 2026 the US Steam listing showed a $5.99 base price, marked down 30% to $4.19 through 9 November. The Xbox and PlayStation listings I checked the same day showed $7.99. The launch press release prints $7.99 / €7.99 as one figure, so I keep the store pages and the press line side by side.

A public Steam API reading at 08:25 UTC that morning showed 59 people in the game. I treat that as one look at a moving number. Steam review text on the store page that day was 970 reviews at 84% positive. A separate chart site has quoted a different review total, so I am not averaging them.

Questions

Is PIT OF GOBLIN co-op?

Yes. It is online co-op, and you can also play alone. Since 1.0 the stated cap is 6 players. The studio site still says 4, which is the Early Access cap.

Where can I play it?

Windows on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is on Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate, and on Xbox Cloud Gaming. There is no Mac or Linux build on the Steam listing.

What did patch 1.0.4.1 change?

The 5 November 2026 note says it fixes items disappearing from a save when magic is equipped. It does not mention a black screen.
