PIT OF GOBLIN guide for a first run
Leave Goblin Village on the bucket, loot food, pull the lever back, and feed the King-Queen after two dives. That loop is the part two Steam guides and the October 2025 patch note agree on.
The first dive
The bucket starts with two torches and one spear. Your goblin has three general slots, a weapon slot, and an offhand slot, with 100 health and 85 stamina in the guide that lists starting stats. Dice, the item, is described as a permanent stamina raise to 105. It is not a board-game mode.
Take the shallower floor first, look for the blue portal into the main area, and prefer food that feeds well over junk you cannot carry. Press F, according to one guide, to make your goblin fall and drop whatever is in hand. A full key chart is not on an official page, so I am not inventing the rest of the binds.
Feeding the King-Queen
After the first return you stash and resupply in the In-Between, then dive again. Since the patch nicknamed The Patch of Goblin, feeding happens on a fixed two-dive rhythm. Put food on the dinner plate. The quota rises after each feeding. If you wait too long, guides describe a King-Queen anger warning and the bucket rising on its own after about five minutes.
The first feeding pays one gear. One gear lets the next dive start at depth -2, two gears at -3, and three at -4. Gear is also sold. One pair of guides prices it at 14 coins and an older guide at 32. I print both.
Altar, traps, shop, and tavern
Each dungeon layer has a resurrection altar, and a single altar is capped at three uses. One guide says a revive restores full health and stamina. Another says 50 to 100 health. I leave that split in place. Traps in the same guides are a large plate that releases gas, a tripwire that explodes, and a small plate that fires darts or drops spikes.
Village traders sell tools, weapons, and potions. Attacking a trader for the stock is possible, and those traders do not come back. The tavern takes a bag of coins for a wheel: double or triple money, random food, a random item, or a skull that kills you or takes the money. Winning tiles later turn into nothing. Hidden Village, added in that same patch, holds rarer stock and bucket upgrades: water bucket, brazier, item rack, drum, and bucket weight. The brazier cooks food, including a rat, for a better feed value.
Questions
How many dives before I feed?
Two. Guides tie that rhythm to The Patch of Goblin, and it is still the loop described for 1.0.
What about magic books?
The 1.0 announcement confirms magic books and spells. It does not name them. I am not filling that list from guesswork.
