Is PIT OF GOBLIN crossplay?

Yes. From the 1.0 launch on 3 November 2026, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S play together. The launch note, the Halloween preview, the Games Press release, and the Xbox page all say so.

Who can join whom

The official 1.0 announcement names PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S together and explicitly includes Game Pass. It is a platform-wide support statement, rather than a separate certification of every storefront pairing.

PlayStation online play needs PS Plus. The store page says cloud streaming on PS5 and PS Portal is a Premium feature. That is streaming, not a fourth platform. Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Linux are absent from the Steam platform flags.

Invites, in plain terms

The studio has answered Steam threads about joining a friend and about crossplay during the lead-up to 1.0. The announced session cap is six. If an invite fails, the separate multiplayer-errors page lists the public reports.

Cloud gaming on Xbox is still one account at a time. Crossplay does not turn that into couch co-op.

Questions

Can Game Pass play with Steam?

The official announcement includes PC, Xbox, and Game Pass in its crossplay statement. It does not publish a separate Steam-to-PC-Game-Pass compatibility matrix.

Does crossplay need the same version?

Everyone needs the 1.0-era build. Patch notes after launch, including 1.0.4.1, are the version to compare if a friend cannot connect.
